On October 16th, the discord account which owned and managed our discord server was compromised. For about an hour, the account was messaging people trying to get them to download and install malicious software. We believe everyone contacted in this way has been informed and sincerely apologize to all those impacted by this!
We did manage to gain full control of the account back, but sadly right before that happened, the old discord server was deleted. We’ve been in contact with discord support and unfortunately there is no way to recover a deleted server.
We’ve done a full scrubbing (complete reformat) of the possibly infected computer and enabled two factor authentication for the discord account which should prevent this kind of situation from happening again.
As frustrating as this incident is, we are moving forward without further delay. We’ve started a new discord server where we hope to see all of you again. Thanks so much to all the people who reached out to inform and express their concern! Your support means so much to the team and we can’t wait to see you all again on the new server!
