I’ve been a software developer since 2005 working across a range of industries. In 2019 I decided it was time to combine my skillset with my primary passion, and that is when HexaNeph Games was born. I am currently the only developer and the primary game designer.  I have been an avid gamer since 1995 and enjoy games of every genre.  My list of favorites is massive but I will name some games (in no particular order) that stick with me to this day: Diablo, Final Fantasy 7, NFL Blitz, Tomb Raider, World of Warcraft, Myst, The Longest Journey 2, God of War, Prince of Persia (2008 Xbox 360 version), Nier Automata, Civilization 2, X-COM 2 Terror from the Deep, Halo, Persona 3, Counter Strike, Portal, Super Mario 64.  Ok, I’m cutting myself off here or this list will never end!

I’m an all-around artist! I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. I just really love drawing. I can say though, I definitely love concept art and illustration! I learned to love it a lot as a kid when I started playing video games on my Gameboy Color and PlayStation 1. I fell in love with games like Legend of Mana, Breath of Fire, and Final Fantasy because of the intricate world building and character design. It was just amazing how I could explore worlds and experience so many adventures that I wanted to make my own too one day!

Sammy is the resident grumpy old man.  He loves his food and makes sure to remind Chris loudly and repeatedly when he thinks it’s time for either breakfast or dinner.  Sammy joined the team in 2008 after he won Chris’s heart with a snot-covered face and a forceful demand for love and attention.  His primary focus for the company is making sure all employees are staying productive.  This is a two-step process for Sammy.  First, make sure everyone wakes up energized and motivated by singing the song of his people in the middle of the night.  Second, while Chris is programming and trying to be productive at his computer, jump on his lap and demand pets.  If appropriate pets are given, reward Chris with a very hard love bite.  If insufficient pets are given, discipline Chris with a very hard love bite.  Basically, no work would get done if Sammy wasn’t around to motivate the troops!

Sarah joined the crew in 2010 after it was discovered that despite his grumpy facade, Sammy actually gets lonely spending most of the day by himself.  Chris brought Sarah home and it was mistrust at first sight!  More than ten years later, Sammy and Sarah mostly tolerate and accept each other.  Sarah heads the PR department here at HexaNeph Games.  Whenever a stranger or potential new business contact is discovered, she is the very first to run and hide under the bed.  We’ll be a household name in no time with Sarah in charge!  While not managing the company’s image, she fills her day improving her own profile.  This mostly involves extensive self grooming sessions and looking down on the rest of the team from up on top of a bookshelf.

Elika was hired in 2019. She is a Great Dane that was the runt of her litter and decided to stop growing at a measly 100 pounds. Since joining, Elika has brought a surge of fresh new energy and despite having no relevant skills, she is always willing to help! She is currently the head of security and enforces a strict ID badge policy for all employees entering the building. Additionally, Elika heads the maintenance crew that keeps food off the floor and those floors polished and shiny (we’re still working on the mopping part but she is very good at transferring water from the bowl to distant, dusty corners of the office floor).
