HexaNeph Games is in the early development stages of a modern 2d top down JRPG. Alarial’s Blessing tells the tragic tale of three wandering mercenaries and the lonely goddess who wouldn’t let them die. We’re looking for a senior artist who can help us finalize our art style and transition our existing prototype to a full vertical slice.
This work includes:
- Character design
- Creature design
- Architecture design
- Environment design
- Concept art and in game assets
The best candidates will be able to:
- Rapidly iterate on concept art
- Provide feedback and guidance to junior artists
- Understand the long-term impact of art decisions on the full game
- Provide art direction
- Contribute to the development of the game as a whole
Budget
HexaNeph Games is still in the early startup phase which does mean funding is limited. We’ve got a rough budget of $2000 a month for this position. If you are interested to work on the project but have concerns with the pay, please do reach out. We are open to discussion on the compensation. Let’s also talk about how many hours of work this pay rate would mean for you.
Project Length
We are aiming to have the vertical slice complete sometime in early 2025, but ideally, this position would transition from a contractor to a full-time employee once more funding is acquired. One of the goals of the vertical slice is to build a team of people who will see the project to completion over the next several years.
